The manufacturer of hp is worthless. Why can’t windows 10 have this driver preinstalled with all the other printer driver of which there must be 500 from brother to hp to panasonic, etc. This package supports the following driver models:HP Color LaserJet 3600. Windows 2003 AMD 64-bit/Vista AMD 64-bit/XP AMD 64-bit Additional Requirements: Windows NT 4 SP 6. Jan 10, 2018 I bought a new desktop computer loaded with windows 10 64 bit home addition. Sometimes we don’t want to throw out that good old printer regardless of its age because it was and still is a workhorse. The HP LaserJet 3600n is one of those printers that won’t easily die, and parts are easy to find. However, no matter how great a printer is, driver support can come to a standstill with time.
I want to share my recent experience with installing HP 3600n driver in windows 10 with my fellow technology folks. I spend quite a bit of time getting this figured out, so hopefully, this article saves someone else their time.
Although there are x64 drivers listed on HP’s website for the HP Color LaserJet 3600n printer, Windows 10 is finicky about installing them. The printer driver installation either takes extraordinarily long and get nowhere or Windows 10 crashes during the process.
If you are deploying the drivers through a Windows Server 2008 Print Server, however, they do have the drivers available for this printer. The printer deployments coming from the print server seem to install smoothly.
Upon searching this topic on Google, there are a lot of frustrations from people on the following support sites regarding this driver issue. Device drivers come with digital fingerprints to verify their authenticity. However, some drivers do not support this verification by Microsoft Windows driver signature enforcement, which leads to problems installing hardware drivers and ultimately rendering the hardware useless.
I did not have to disable driver signature enforcement on Windows 10 to install the Hp 3600n driver package above. If you are still having issues installing the 3600n driver, please continue reading.Disable Driver Signature Enforcement On Windows 10
If you are still having issues installing the driver, please try to disable driver signature enforcement on Windows 10. You can easily do this by pressing Shift Key and clicking the Restart option.
Upon rebooting the computer, you will see a blue screen full of different boot options.
*Choose the Troubleshooting option, then go to > Advanced Options > Choose Startup Settings and hit restart.
*When your PC boots back up, you will find a list of choices Hit the F7 key on the keyboard andchoose Disable driver signature enforcement – Your PC will now reboot with driver signature enforcement disabled.Disable Driver Signature Enforcement On Windows 10 (Permanently)
If the above steps did not solve your 3600n driver installation issues, try permanently disabling the Windows 10 driver signature enforcement feature. Here are the steps to permanently disable driver signature enforcement.
Step 1:
Go to the Search Bar in Windows 10 and type in CMD, then right-click on the Command Prompt app and select Run as Administrator.
Step 2:Driver Windows 7
Run the following commands in the Command Prompt window to disable driver integrity checks.Hp Color Laserjet 3600n Network Driver
